考虑到疫情对物流的影响，《最终幻想 7 重制版》实体游戏已在部分地区提前发售，但 Square Enix 表示，游戏数字版并不会提前解锁。SE 在客服咨询中解释说变更数字版解锁时间会导致一系列后勤问题，影响已购买的玩家。因此游戏数字版将会按原计划于 4 月 10 日上线。
